1. Overview
This policy explains how the JobPalm app handles information. “We” and “JobPalm” refer to the developer of the JobPalm app. JobPalm does not require an account and does not operate a server that receives your business library.
2. Information stored on your device
You may enter a business profile, client names and contact details, service addresses, visits, estimates, payment records, service notes, and photos. This information is stored in JobPalm’s local app container on your iPhone. The developer does not receive this information through the app.
3. Photos and permissions
JobPalm requests access only when you choose a related feature:
- Photos and camera: You choose photos to import or explicitly open the camera. JobPalm stores a resized JPEG copy and removes unnecessary metadata, including GPS metadata. Your original photo-library items are not modified.
- Notifications: If you enable reminders, JobPalm schedules local notifications for you. Private previews are the default; showing client names is optional. JobPalm does not contact your clients.
4. Apple services and network access
JobPalm may interact with Apple services for limited app functions:
- Apple processes optional Pro purchases through StoreKit. JobPalm receives verified purchase status but does not receive your payment-card details.
- The app may contact Apple’s App Store lookup service to check whether a newer JobPalm version is available.
- If you choose Directions, JobPalm opens Apple Maps with the selected service address. Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy.
JobPalm contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK.
5. Backups, exports, and sharing
You decide whether to export a backup, CSV report, estimate PDF, or message through system interfaces. Full backups are ZIP files and are not password encrypted. They can include client details, financial records, notes, and supported attachments. Store them only in locations you trust.
Device backups, cloud file providers, Apple services, and apps you select in the system share sheet may process information under their own policies. JobPalm cannot verify delivery to a recipient or erase copies outside the app’s container.
6. Purchases and recorded payments
Apple handles the optional Pro in-app purchase. Payment records you create inside JobPalm are notes about transactions made outside the app; JobPalm does not initiate, receive, or transfer client funds.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you edit or erase them. After a restore, a previous local library may remain as a recovery point until you delete it. The in-app erase action removes JobPalm business libraries, attachments, recovery points, temporary exports, and pending JobPalm reminders from the device.
Erasing app data does not cancel an Apple purchase or remove files you already exported, copies held by recipients, or system backups. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local container, subject to Apple’s device and backup behavior.
8. Support communications
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, app version, and message. Do not send client details or a complete backup unless you intentionally choose to share that content. Support correspondence is kept only as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain service records, and meet applicable obligations. You may request deletion by contacting us.
9. This website
This privacy-policy page does not add JobPalm analytics or advertising cookies. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, so GitHub may process technical request information according to the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when JobPalm’s features or data handling change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
